Services
24 Hour Emergency Care
We have a veterinarian and a veterinary nurse available after office hours, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The veterinary clinics of Teton County share emergency call to provide after hours services on the weekends.
Preventative Health Care
The time and effort invested in your pets' health has rewards for both pets and owners. Our recommendations are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive annual physical examinations, immunizations, internal parasite screening, microchip insertion, affordable spay and neuter services, dental health care and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
Dental Health Care
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintain the health of your pet. We use modern and safe ultrasonic techniques to thoroughly clean each tooth, above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish the teeth to create a smooth tooth surface, increasing the resistance to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Our dental sealant application and home care kit ensure the best possible protection for your pets' teeth. Our dental x-ray machine allows a complete evaluation of the teeth and the supporting tissues. Should your pet require tooth repair or extraction, we are able to offer the most current techniques to accomplish these tasks. Ensuring your pet's comfort during and after these procedures is of highest priority to us. We maintain strong pain management protocols to keep your pet comfortable while recovering from any oral surgery.
General Surgery
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Our fully trained veterinary and technical staff ensures the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet. We offer specialized equipment to help maintain body heat during surgery as well as ekg, oxygen and blood pressure monitors. Our skilled nursing staff provide intensive after surgery care.
Specialized Orthopedic / Soft Tissue Surgery
Dr. Erick Egger, Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, from the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, offers monthly state-of-the-art orthopedic surgery such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomies (tplo) to correct ruptured ligaments of the knee, as well as specialized orthopedic repair and soft tissue surgery.
Ultrasound / Radiology
We also offer advanced ultrasound technology to help diagnose your pet's medical condition without the trauma of invasive exploratory surgery. Ultrasound imaging uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs.
Our modern x-ray equipment allows our veterinarians to effectively evaluate the musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems with minimal exposure to radiation. Within minutes, we can take and process your pet's e-rays for interpretation by our doctors.
Internal Medicine
We offer the services of the only board certified small animal internist in the state of Wyoming. We recommend a complete physical exam for your pet on a yearly basis. Internal medicine includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide variety of diseases affecting the heart, kidneys or liver as well as diabetes. Based on our examination findings preventative health care recommendations are made for your pet's individual needs and situation.
Endoscopy
Endoscopy is a procedure that allows us to visualize the gastrointestinal tract by using a thin, flexible tube with a tiny camera at the tip. This high-tech fiber optic system allows the doctors to evaluate the stomach, small intestine, lining of the esophagus and colon. This allows for a more accurate diagnosis and treatment. Biopsy samples can be taken and foreign objects can be removed without the need for invasive surgery.
Rhinoscopy, Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy
Using the same fiber optic technology, our internist can visualize and biopsy the nasal cavity, the large airways of the lungs and the urinary bladder.
Cancer Treatment
Veterinary oncology has many options for the patient diagnosed with cancer. Some types of cancer respond well to chemotherapy. Some require surgery. We take into account the well-being of both the pet and the owner when we tailor an individualized course of cancer treatment. Our goal is the preservation of quality of life.
Exotic Animal Medicine and Surgery
We offer quality care for numerous exotic animals. These services include sterilization surgery, preventative health care, nutritional counseling, x-ray and laboratory services, avian gender testing and grooming. Our staff offers specialized care for sick or injured exotic pets.
On-site Laboratory
Our on-site laboratory allows us to perform testing that delivers immediate results that is helpful in preoperative screening and when your pet may be ill. Results can be available within 30 minutes to ensure quick and appropriate medical treatment.
Pharmacy
We stock a range of veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field. We are able to attain hard to find drugs from a reputable compounding pharmacy. This service includes a unique formulation of medicines for your pet's specific and unique needs when one specific medication will not do.
Pain Management
Managing your pet's pain is something we take very seriously. Pets feel pain and discomfort for the same reasons and under the same circumstances as people do. The effects of pain can actually delay the healing process. We use a variety of methods and medications to ensure your pet's comfort. These include a combination of oral and injectable medications, nerve blocks, and epidural anesthesia for orthopedic procedures.
Microchip Insertion
Placing a microchip under the skin gives your pet a form of permanent identification that cannot be altered. All animal shelters and most veterinary clinics have equipment that will scan for microchips and give you a better chance of being reunited with a lost loved one. We find that this microchip is easily inserted at the time of your pet's spay or neuter. It is also simple to insert in an outpatient visit.
Retail Center
In our retail section, you can find a variety of items for your pet's needs. We have items for outdoor playing, backcountry hiking and camping, and grooming that your pet will love. We carry a large selection of Hills Science Diet, Purina Prescription Diets, rcvd allergy diets and Blackwood. Select a new present for your pet from our selection of dog and cat beds, collars, leads and travel carriers. In addition, while you are here, we can custom make your furry friend a shiny new pet tag.
