Diagnostic Services: We offer in house diagnostic services including CBC (complete blood cell count), blood chemistry profiles, electrolytes, blood gases, urinalysis, and digital radiology. We utilize an outside laboratory for more extensive testing, with results usually overnight. Ultrasound and endoscopic services are also available.
Surgical Services: We perform soft tissue surgery and minor orthopedic procedures. We use a CO2 laser for some surgeries in place of a scalpel to minimize bleeding, pain and healing time. This is particularly beneficial for declaw procedures in cats. Certain specialized surgeries are referred to a local board certified surgeon.
Oncology: We provide chemotherapy services when appropriate. Chemotherapy protocols are determined based on consultation with an oncologist at the University of Tennessee. Referral for more specialized cancer treatments such as radiation therapy are available.
Wellness Care: Annual or semi-annual examinations are recommended. Remember that each year of your pet's life corresponds to approximately 7 years of our lives. Routine vaccination is an important part of wellness care. We tailor our vaccination protocol to meet each individual pet's needs. Vaccination and parasite prevention (monthly heartworm prevention and flea and tick prevention) are not only important protection for your pet, but also for your family. There are some parasites and diseases that can be passed from your pet to you and your family. A thorough wellness care program is key to early detection and prevention of disease.
Dental Services: We perform dental cleanings, minor and surgical tooth extractions, and minor oral surgery. We also offer dental xray for better diagnosis and treatment of dental disease.
Grooming: We currently offer routine baths, medicated baths, and brushing and offer complete professional grooming services with our groomer Sarah.
