We've been delivering quality chiropractic care to the Nashville and Cool Springs area since 2002. Call us today to set up an appointment!
Our approach is simple. We believe that health is among our most valuable possessions. And while we generally meet people after theyâ?Tve lost their health, our commitment is two-fold:
1. Relief Care
When many people seek care in our office they have one goal: relief. So thatâ?Ts where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
â?¢Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
â?¢Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest results possible
â?¢Offer ways patients can participate in their recovery
2. Wellness Care
We encourage our patients to achieve the highest levels of health they can. Through educational opportunities (like this website), we hope to communicate the value of ongoing chiropractic care. Our desire is to see our practice members abandon the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model.
Regardless of your health goals, please understand that we see ourselves as mere servants. Youâ?Tre the boss! Itâ?Ts your body, your health and your future. Our job is to offer you the finest chiropractic care possible, and itâ?Ts up to you to decide how much of it you want.
"To say that I was a skeptic is an understatement" says Dr. Ben Sweeney. "But I was in severe pain and was willing to try anything. On the advice of a friend I decided to give chiropractic a "try" he says. Although a voice inside was saying that if my back was in this much pain now, then having my back cracked would probably kill me! Much to my surprise (and delight) months of pain began to disappear after the first painless adjustment."
Dr. Sweeney attended Lee University in Cleveland, TN to do his undergraduate studies and played 4 years of collegiate basketball. It was a basketball related back injury that truly sparked Dr. Sweeney's interest in Chiropractic. He says "...my original career choice was surgery and was headed toward Med School when Chiropractic crossed my path. After completing his study at Lee, he was accepted at Life College of Chiropractic in Atlanta, GA. Mid way through the program Dr. Sweeney transferred to Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose, CA. During his four years of Chiropractic school, courses included biochemistry, a major emphasis on anatomy and human physiology, X-ray, diagnosis, chiropractic adjusting techniques and patient care in the Palmer College Public Clinic.
Dr. Sweeney says "Nothing pleases me more than to help a patient that has tried "everything" and given up hope, to regain vitality, function and increased quality of life."
Dr. Sweeney is married to Ashley and they have a daughter, McMillan. McMillan has never been vaccinated or received an antibiotic. She is, as of January 2010 , almost 3 years old and has never been sick. (If that sounds interesting, be sure to ask Dr. Sweeney to explain!)
Our philosophy is that in order to Be Well one must Move Well, Eat Well and Think Well. True health comes from within, not from a bottle. Therefore it is essential that each one of us take responsibility for our own health and the health of our loved ones.
