Chiropractic:
The chiropractic approach to healthcare is holistic, meaning that it addresses your overall health. It recognizes that many lifestyle factors such as exercise, diet, rest and environment impact your health. For this reason, chiropractors recommend changes in lifestyleâ?" eating, exercise, and sleeping habitsâ?"in addition to chiropractic care.
The word "chiropractic" comes from the Greek words cheir (hand) and praxis (action) and literally means "done by hand." Instead of prescribing drugs or performing surgeries, chiropractors use manual treatments of the spine and joints, exercise therapy, massage, nutrition, trigger point therapy and lifestyle changes to allow the bodyâ?Ts natural state of health to fully express itself.
What Is Meridian Therapy?
Meridian therapy is often used in place of acupuncture. Stimulation of the acu-point by needle is only one method of stimulating acu-points. Treatment in meridian therapy is designed to create balance and harmony between the meridians with- out the use of needles. We treat the acupoints using cold laser, or electric stimulation. Not only can the body be treated through the meridian system, examination of the meridians gives diagnostic information for applying other forms of treatment such as structural manipulation, muscle re-education, nutrition, and other therapeutic tools.
What Is Auriculotherapy?
Auriculotherapy is safe, effective micro-current stimulation of nerve endings on the outer ears to help balance and/or normalize a range of physiological and psychological functions.
In 1990, the Director General of the World Health Organization (WHO) proclaimed to an international gathering that â?" â?oAuricular acupuncture is probably the most developed and best documented, scientifically, of all the micro-systems of acupuncture and is the most practical and widely used.â? The WHO lists 150 diseases that Auriculotherapy is appropriate for.
While originally based upon ancient Chinese Ear Acupuncture, the mapping of specific parts of the body to specific parts of the ear was first developed in modern France.
What Is Cold Laser Therapy?
Laser energy can strengthen damaged cells. Using photochemical processes, laser light inserts bio-photons into damaged cells. The cells begin to produce energy (ATP), which improves their function, assists their division, strengthens the body's immune system, and causes the secretion of various hormones. The tissues are healed, and pain disappears. If damaged cells have died, the bio-photons help the division of neighboring cells, generating new tissues, and thus bring about healing
What Is Reflexology?
Reflexology is a system of applying pressure to points on the feet and hands. These points are similar to acu-points as they correspond to every organ and gland of the body. Reflexology is an ancient form of therapy believed to have developed in ancient China.
