Facts about Granite:
Definition of Granite: a very hard igneous rock formation of visibly crystalline texture formed essentially of quartz and orthoclase or microcline used for building. These are hard and dense stones that can be highly polished and have grain pattern.
Granite is an elegant and unique beauty of natural stone which is a low maintenance product.
Benefit of Granite:
* Granite is a siliceous stone that does not etch
* Granite is heat resistant therefore you can place hot pans from stove/oven on it and it wonâ?Tt burn or discolor the tops. You will want to avoid the silicone in the seams.
* Granite is scratch resistant. To scratch granite you would need an object harder than granite for example a diamond.
* Granite is stain resistant when sealed properly. Dark stones do not need to be sealed because they are extremely dense and do not absorb any liquids.
* Granite Tops are sealed before they leave our shop to be installed in the consumerâ?Ts home. The top needs to be sealed once a year, for the first 3 years. After that your granite tops should be sealed for a lifetime.
One of the biggest myths of granite is that people are misinformed that bacteria will grow in granite if not sealed properly. This could not be further from the truth. Granite is a non-porous stone which can not become a home for bacteria.
There are over 250 natural beautiful colors to choose from.
Facts about Quartz Surfacing:
Definition of Quartz Surfacing: an engineered stone that is non-porous, heat resistant, granite-like material. It consists of 93% quartz and 7% pigments and resins.
The process combines quartz, resin, and pigments in molds where it is heated and vibrated. Quartz surface slabs are solid and are resistant to stains, moisture, & bacteria.
Warranty:
Many companies will offer a 10 year limited warranty on their countertops.
To say that quartz surfacing is better than granite is a huge misconception. We have no vested interest in fabricating granite vs. quartz surfacing. Once customers are properly informed on benefits and facts about each option, almost every customer chooses granite.
We provide many options for quartz surfacing. For example, Veiatera is an up and coming strong quartz surfacing option for the consumers.
There are 22 beautiful colors to choose from.
