Prior to entering the real estate field, Tamera worked for a design and architectural firm in Washington D.C. and Charlotte, North Carolina as a Project Designer and Project Manager. With her master's degree in Design, Tamera decided to follow her true passion, blending her love of residential architecture and design into a full-time real estate career. After several years in the field, Tamera still loves walking into a home and helping her clients imagine the possibilities. And even more, she loves making those possibilities a reality by working tirelessly on her clients' behalf. Tamera enjoys visiting galleries, wineries and farm stands, and cooking with local produce. She also possesses a natural passion for architecture, design that lend to her effectiveness in recognizing a home's potential.

Tamera has instructed several design classes at Marymount University in Washington, DC. She instructed courses in Advanced Residential Design and Design for the Physically Challenged.

Tamera is a volunteer at Wing Haven Gardens. She also is a contributor to Heifer International. Heifer envisions a bold future as a world hunger charity, one in which more lives are transformed in a sustainable way.
