Crandall's Peruvian Restaurant & Catering
Crandall's Peruvian Restaurant, for 20 years, has served food that has
been constructed around the idea of homemade and gourmet American menu.
Although our menu has brought us much success, we wanted to reconstruct
our menu by introducing a new culinary concept; being native Peruvians
and knowing what Peruvian gastronomy has to offer, my wife and I decided
to add in Peruvian cuisine, which we knew very well is all about
exquisite taste, variety and ability to incorporate Influences from
different time periods and cultures.
With the arrival of Spanish conquistadors, Spanish influence was added
to the use of these three key ingredients. Peruvian cuisine was further
influenced and enriched by migration from China, Japan, Europe, and
Africa in the recent centuries.
Furthermore, Peru can be split up into three geographic regions: the
Coast, Andean Sierra, and Amazon jungle, adding to the variety and
diversity of Peru's culinary art.
