They worked together to design a facility that would meet the needs of the bereaved as well as the needs of the community. The design of the facility focused on the family and friends attending the funerals. The home provides easy and full access for handicapped and elderly, and comfortably accommodates large groups of people. After the Funeral Home was completed, it not only met, but also exceeded all expectations of Mr. Fluehr, his wife and the community. The 15- acre, partially wooded grounds have provided a peaceful and picturesque setting for all the families and friends who come to offer their farewell and to begin their healing process.Their first funeral home is located on Route 332 between Richboro and Newtown, where it has provided a comfortable and peaceful setting for grieving families for over thirty years. During this time, the Fluehr family has served the families of Bucks County with a long history of personal service and professional standards. It should also be noted that the Fluehr's have incorporated several amenities in their funeral home that sets it apart from the others. They have incorporated a private sitting room and bathroom, conveniently located in the front of the visitation room, for the grieving families. This area provides families with a place to go for a personal break in complete privacy. As for parking, with the abundant property available, there is enough space to handle the largest of gatherings. The Funeral Home facilities are located on one floor with no steps to navigate. There is a carport to drop off loved ones and enough seating in the main parlor for family and friends to feel comfortable during the funeral service. Believing so strongly in helping families through the healing process, the Fluehrs opened another funeral home in New Britain Borough, in 1997. Located just outside of Doylestown, the new facility has all the amenities of the original location as well as some new ones they have included based on their many years of experience. The New Britain location like the Richboro Funeral Home has two large viewing rooms, a private sitting room and bathroom for the families, and spacious parking for large services. Guests are welcome to enjoy the meditation path and garden where they may wander, and take a moment for silent prayer. Both facilities, similar yet different provide grieving families and friends a peaceful environment to say their final farewell.
