DV8 is a Boulder distillery that is a safe space for unsafe practices. It's a bar where you're encouraged to be yourself, whether that is a free-spirited artist, musician, or corporate tech start-up employee. We are a sex-positive bar, where you can be gay, straight, asexual, trans, bi, demisexual, or whatever you desire. Because at the end of the day, we are all about desire.
At our distillery in Boulder, bourbon whiskey fills our stills, as does vodka, gin, and rye whiskey, all made in-house. We also host events, such as raves, concerts, DJs, and radical-art installations seldom seen outside the playa. We also host bands, eye-watering comedy shows, drag exhibitions, burlesque, and other forms of theater and hedonism that would make Dionysus blush. Boulder nightlife has been stagnant for a while, and we're here to make it weird and freaky, once more.

We are an LGBTQ-friendly, sex-positive, "gay bar." Boulder hasn't had a dedicated space for the LGBTQ community in a long time, despite their positive disposition towards the culture. Therefore, DV8 is proud to say that we are the only dedicated gay bar in Boulder.
That doesn't mean that we are strictly a gay bar. Boulder has many dispositions, and therefore we like to treat DV8 like European techno clubs or a Boulder Burning Man event, where once you enter our doors, you are free to be as freaky as you want, as long as you are respectful of the community around you. At DV8, all positive sexual motivations are encouraged, and we do our best to inspire all cultures and dispositions to get down with one another, whether that's dancing to a house music DJ, or laughing until you cry at one of our Boulder comedy events.
We have protocols in place that make sure that our community is respected and want it to be a place where people can learn about and love cultures that they would otherwise not be exposed to, such as the LGBTQ, and Pride.

We give tours at our distillery in Boulder! Distillery tours are a great way to learn how to make rice whiskey, or how gin is stilled down from juniper berries. We take you through the process and show you the stills, siphons, mash, and all other pieces of technology that go into making our single-barrel whiskey, bourbon, gluten-free vodka, and floral gins. Obviously, you get to drink them too!
