Business owner Steve Feld formed Feldkraft Lock & Safe Company in January 1993 after serving with other established lock shops in Anaheim/Orange, California and Phoenix, Arizona between 1991-1992.

Feld is a 6-year US Navy veteran who separated from the service in Charleston, South Carolina after a 2 1/2 assignment on board the USS Frank Cable as an engine room mechanic/deepsea diver. Since May 1982 his civilian mechanical repair background experience has included assembling automated equipment, restoring business copy machines to like-new working order, repairing utility power plant/paper mill industry steam control valves and the shift operation of a small hydro-electric power station in Arizona.
