DAC Southaven
Since the mid-1990s, DeSoto County has been distinguished as one of the fastest growing counties in the country. The migration of families to the area created a need for an accessible, friendly health center that catered to both adults and children. Robert Creech, DAC founder and president, recognized this need. With the help of his father, Bill, DeSoto Athletic Club in Southaven was opened in 1999. David Creech, Robertâ?Ts brother, joined the family business as vice president. The flagship facility in Southaven is not only the largest and most established; it also serves as home base to DAC business operations.
The original DAC has continued to evolve, along with the needs of our members and the ever-changing fitness industry. â?oWhat once was important in terms of what members wanted from their fitness center in 1999 is no longer relevant today,â? says Robert.
The DAC family of facilities spread into Tennessee in 2004, and DeSoto Athletic Club became known simply as DAC (Developing Active Communities). As the Southaven facilityâ?Ts amenities have grown, so have our membership and investment in community health initiatives. DAC Southaven offers program options not found in other regional fitness centers.
