Sunset Family Fitness is owned by Michelle Brannon and her husband, John Cooney, who live in Astoria. Michelle manages the fitness center, and is the lead fitness instructor and personal trainer; she has over ten years' experience as a fitness instructor. John is an active duty member of the Coast Guard, and instructs CPR, First Aid, the AED, and Sports Safety Training. John and Michelle recently purchased the fitness center, which was previously known as Seaside Fitness; they have three sons: Connor, who is nine years old, and twins Sean and Liam, who will soon be eight years old.

We provide over 40 classes each week, including, Youth and Special Populations, boxing, step aerobics, group strength training, core training, pilates, yoga and indoor cycling classes.

Visitors are always welcome. Sunset Family Fitness provides custom-fit full-time and part-time memberships, and visitor passes. And all classes are free all the time.
