You will complete a health history and talk to the chiroprator about how the pain or injury occured. He will look for internal evidence of an injury or neuromusculo-skeletal dysfunction through the use of a physical exam and sometimes an x-ray, MRI or CT scan. If a spinal subluxation (displacement of a vertabrae) is found, an "adjusment" will be performed to rectify the problem. Many injuries or conditions can also benefit for adjunctive therapies such as therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, ice, moist heat, strectching, joint mobilization, nutritional changes, exercise rehab and recommendations on changes activities of daily living, all of which I can provide.
