Sean was raised in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina and was first introduced to boating at the age of four aboard the family 15-foot skiff. After studying construction management at East Carolina University, Sean went to work for a marine construction firm. His early experience fishing, water-skiing and crabbing convinced him to try a career on the water and he enrolled in a yacht surveyor course in Stuart, Florida.
